Financial Reporting and Control Expertise

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Financial Controls Analyst to play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of our financial reporting processes across all regions (AMER, EMEA & APAC). You will be instrumental in documenting, analyzing, and improving our finance operations, collaborating with various stakeholders to implement robust control frameworks and ensure compliance with international accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Group Finance Manager to develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of FRS102 accounting policies, providing guidance and support to global finance teams for implementation.
  • Design and implement control frameworks that align with our accounting policies, ensuring effective monitoring and mitigation of financial risks across the organization.
  • Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, documenting any agreed exceptions and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit to conduct regular testing and assessments of financial processes and controls, reporting key findings and recommendations to Group Management.
  • Support the design and implementation of peer-to-peer control testing programs, fostering a culture of accountability and shared responsibility for financial integrity.
    • Continuously enhance our monthly financial reporting process, including intercompany reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Conduct regular reviews and substantiation of the Group balance sheet, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain a strong control environment.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive Group reporting pack, providing insightful financial information to support decision-making across all levels.
    • Provide ad hoc financial control support to the Group Financial Control team as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • Possess strong technical accounting expertise with a deep understanding of international group accounting principles, including UK GAAP, goodwill, capitalized development costs, and business combinations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in finance systems and software applications.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, effectively building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP systems and Power BI reporting tools.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and control within a multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional group setting.
  • Consultancy or professional services background.
