Position Overview

Role Responsibilities


As a member of our catering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a courteous, professional, and efficient dining experience for students, staff, and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring that food service and dining areas are prepared to an exceptional standard, while maintaining cleanliness, tidiness, and safety in the workplace.

Dishwashing is part of your duties, which will involve operating an automatic dishwasher, and after service, you will be responsible for clearing and cleaning all food areas.


This role involves physical tasks, including lifting and transporting food and catering equipment, such as heavy plates and utensils.

Specific Requirements

We expect you to be punctual, adaptable, and willing to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Typical shifts may include breakfast/lunch from 7:30 AM to 3 PM, lunch from 10 AM to 3 PM, and dinner from 4:30 PM to 8 PM, with occasional late shifts for special events.

  • Deliver outstanding service to students, colleagues, and visitors by adhering to established procedures (training will be provided).
  • Prioritize health and safety by following regulations and wearing any necessary protective equipment.
  • Learn to operate everyday equipment and tools under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
  • Follow instructions from senior team members to complete assigned tasks.
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels and controls.
Team Collaboration

  • Support and collaborate with your team members.
  • Assist colleagues in completing their tasks when requested.
  • Help maintain facilities and equipment in a safe and secure manner.
  • Report any issues to senior colleagues promptly.
Communication and Personal Conduct
