Position Overview: This role is based in a supportive environment dedicated to assisting vulnerable children and young people aged 8-18 who are at risk of exploitation. Our mission is to identify and address the challenges they face outside their home settings, emphasizing the significance of timely intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster trust and develop supportive relationships that enhance the independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities of the young individuals.
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, guardians, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Supervise and guide the Residential Support Workers in their daily responsibilities.
  • Participate in the maintenance of the home, including meal preparation and cleanliness.
  • Accurately document information and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all service users.
  • Promote and maintain a secure environment at all times.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Level 3 qualification in a relevant field related to Residential Childcare, or a commitment to obtain this qualification within the specified timeframe.
  • Proven experience working with children and young people.
  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a residential care environment.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
