About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Optimization Specialist to join our team at GoCardless. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a critical role in optimizing the efficiency of our Finance operations and ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of our controls.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Finance transformation, with experience in process mapping, redesign, and documentation. You will work closely with our process and control owners in Finance to deliver our Finance transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Map, redesign, and document processes and controls to optimize Finance operations
  • Collaborate with Finance professionals to accurately document, improve, and maintain policies and procedures
  • Identify control weaknesses and remediate through the design and implementation of effective controls
  • Improve efficiency through the standardization and automation of Finance activities
  • Work cross-functionally and engage with internal stakeholders at all levels
Requirements
  • A strong background in Finance transformation, with experience in process mapping, redesign, and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to bring the cross-functional team with you as you develop and implement new processes and controls
  • Self-sufficient and able to plan and prioritize work with minimal supervision
  • A solid understanding of Finance operations, processes, and the role of IT systems
  • A qualified accountant or otherwise highly proficient in financial and management accounting
