About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at CHEC as a Regional Clinical Educator, where you will play a critical role in identifying training needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for students, new starters, and existing members of staff across the company.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development, planning, and organisation of the continuous professional development of colleagues.
  • Act as a mentor to new and existing members of the clinical team, overseeing induction and training programmes.
  • Deliver the CHEC clinical induction process and support the development of clinical practice mentors.
  • Design and support the delivery of clinical staff training programmes across the region.
  • Maintain training records and update training matrices.
  • Be responsible for the facilitation and delivery of mandatory and departmental education and training.
  • Support new site openings of new hospitals for all clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience, knowledge, and competency in clinical duties of an Ophthalmic Assistant.
  • Experience of delivering training to a variety of levels of experience.
  • Experience of supporting learners in the clinical setting.
  • Experience of partnership working across organisational boundaries and collaboration with other professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly and effectively within a team.
  • Ability to travel to and work across multiple sites.
  • Passion for high-quality patient safety and care.
  • Positive attitude to working in a growing, changing organisation.
  • Proficient IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
