Position Overview: The Senior Vice President of Financial Strategy will play a pivotal role within the executive finance team, tasked with managing the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and capital allocation strategies. This position is essential for ensuring that financial resources are effectively distributed to support strategic goals, fostering growth, profitability, and maximizing shareholder returns. The SVP will guide business planning through budgeting, strategic assessments, and the initiation of corrective measures while acting as a financial advisor to other executives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Capital Allocation:
  • Formulate and execute a thorough capital allocation strategy that aligns with the organization’s long-term objectives and annual financial plans.
  • Evaluate and prioritize investment opportunities, including research and development, market expansion, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of capital investments (capex) and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
  • Oversee the financial planning and analysis function, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and variance assessments.
  • Deliver strategic insights and recommendations derived from financial analysis to aid decision-making by the executive team.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure regular reviews of financial performance to drive improvements and initiate enhancement initiatives.
  • As the primary finance business partner, ensure adherence to relevant guidelines and policies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Operational Efficiency:
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to identify and implement cost-reduction strategies and efficiency enhancements.
  • Track key financial and operational metrics to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures to enhance governance and control.
Strategic Leadership:
  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and other senior leaders to formulate and execute the organization’s strategic plan and annual budget.
  • Act as a key advisor on financial and capital allocation issues, providing insights and recommendations to drive growth and profitability.
  • Promote a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 12-15+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, or financial management.
  • Demonstrated success in financial leadership roles within technology or data center sectors.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in developing complex financial models.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the capacity to build and manage high-performing teams.
  • Ability to apply sound business practices and collaborate with business leaders.
  • Results-oriented, output-focused team player.
  • Capability to translate budgets into operational impact assessments.
  • Proactive and self-sufficient, demonstrating independence.

  • Experience in digital, IT, or cloud-infrastructure services is advantageous.
