Senior Vice President of Financial Strategy and Capital Management

Role Summary: The Senior Vice President of Financial Strategy and Capital Management will play a pivotal role within the executive finance team, overseeing the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and capital management processes. This position is crucial for ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively to support strategic goals, fostering growth, profitability, and maximizing shareholder value. The SVP will guide business planning through budgeting, strategic assessments, and the initiation of corrective measures, acting as a financial advisor to other executives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Capital Management:

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive capital management strategy that aligns with the organization’s long-term objectives and annual financial plans.
  • Evaluate and prioritize investment opportunities, including research and development, market expansion, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of capital investments and implement corrective actions as necessary.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and variance assessments.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial evaluations to support executive decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to facilitate strategic planning and operational decisions.
  • Ensure periodic reviews of financial performance to drive improvements and initiate enhancement initiatives.
  • As the primary finance business partner, ensure adherence to relevant guidelines and policies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

3. Operational Effectiveness:

  • Collaborate with operational leaders to identify and implement cost-reduction strategies and efficiency enhancements.
  • Track key financial and operational metrics to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures to enhance governance and control.

4. Strategic Leadership:

  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and other senior leaders to develop and execute the organization’s strategic plan and annual budget.
  • Act as a key advisor on financial and capital management matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive growth and profitability.
  • Promote a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 12-15+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, capital management, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in financial leadership roles within technology or data center sectors.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in developing complex financial models.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
