Compensation: £70 per hour PAYE or up to £34.71 per hour Umbrella


Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide strategic oversight on educational placement requirements. This role involves delivering current expert advice on statutory responsibilities concerning school admissions, appeals, and the management of children missing education, as well as school organization and attendance processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, assess, and optimize resources to ensure effective utilization and value for money, adhering to local policies and procedures.
  • Lead and uphold efficient procedures and practices across all service provisions, including professional supervision and safe working protocols.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure timely delivery of sufficiency in educational placements that meet statutory obligations.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the Local Authority's midyear admission process, aligning it with future projections and pupil place planning across various educational stages.
  • Ensuring an adequate number of school placements are available for all educational levels, guaranteeing access to quality education for every child.
  • Accountability for policy formulation and quality assurance regarding school organization and early years education.
  • Leading strategic initiatives for pupil place planning.
  • Supporting an integrated service delivery approach that aligns with strategic objectives, ensuring high-quality, responsive, and adaptable school organization services.
  • Translating national data into effective local policies.
  • Managing and supervising staff and volunteers, including recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
  • Possessing knowledge of national and local data related to early years, school-age, and post-16 education.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather and analyze data, developing actionable plans to ensure sufficient and quality placements for all age groups.
  • Maintaining financial accountability for relevant grants and funding, adhering to Local Authority financial protocols.
