Protocol Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Secondary SEND Teacher to join our team. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a personalized curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging lessons that meet the varied educational needs of pupils, creating a purposeful and supportive learning environment.
- Behaviour Management: Utilize behaviour management strategies aligned with the school's policies to create a positive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
- Discipline and Support: Maintain discipline and foster an orderly, supportive atmosphere that helps pupils overcome barriers to learning, ensuring equal opportunities for all.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Observe, monitor, and evaluate pupil responses through a range of assessment strategies, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
- Inclusion and Welfare: Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and grow, taking an active role in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Displays empathy and patience when working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours.
- Has a natural ability to problem-solve and manage/modify pupil behaviour effectively.
- Is organized, flexible, resilient, and physically fit.
- Has a down-to-earth sense of humour and a positive attitude towards the challenges of working with SEN students.
- Ongoing honest, friendly, and professional support from our dedicated team of experts.
