About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Maternity/Neonatal Partnership Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our organization, NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB), to improve maternity and neonatal services for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a conduit linking the thoughts and feelings of service users to staff across the ICB via the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) to enable change and escalate concerns to relevant organizations.
  • Deliver the agreed objectives of the Maternity/Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) as set out in the annual workplan and use influence to drive the delivery of highly effective and visible outcomes.
  • Represent the MNVP at local, regional, and national maternity and neonatal meetings and events, providing independent challenge and scrutiny based on evidence gathered from parents/carers and professionals.
  • Assist professionals in identifying and engaging with pregnant women/service users, parents, and their families at every level of change to enable authentic co-production.
  • Support the LMNS and their Trust to ensure that their workstream of programs are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.
Requirements
  • Recent or current service user experience in maternity and/or neonatal services within the last two years or a post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent.
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments, including working with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and organizations to influence, plan, and implement a program of transformation and quality improvement work.
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritizing workloads, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
  • Understanding of the public sector.
  • Experience and/or understanding of national, regional, and local drivers for transformation and quality improvements across maternity and neonatal services.
