Position Overview

The Commercial division plays a crucial role in managing budgets and tracking all expenses associated with construction initiatives. This team is responsible for sourcing necessary services and resources, negotiating prices with suppliers, and overseeing project timelines to ensure adherence to deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

As an essential member of the team, your duties will include:

  • Providing accurate and timely responses to client inquiries.
  • Collaborating with the Credit Control team to facilitate prompt cash receipt management.
  • Supporting the preparation of subcontractor and supplier orders.
  • Assisting in the timely preparation of client payment applications, as well as reviewing and processing invoices, payment certificates, and pay-less notices.
  • Helping the team compile monthly statutory reports.
  • Maintaining project databases to ensure proper documentation and report management.
  • Preparing for and participating in regular departmental meetings.
  • Supporting the team with general office tasks and daily commercial activities.

Qualifications

To qualify for this apprenticeship program, candidates should possess:

  • 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C/4-9, including English and Mathematics.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A commitment to embodying the company's values throughout work and studies.
  • The motivation and dedication necessary to successfully complete the apprenticeship program.

Additional Information

As a Business Administration Apprentice with United Living Group, you will engage in meaningful work while pursuing a nationally recognized qualification. You will be challenged and supported by a network of experienced colleagues as you lay the groundwork for a career in the construction sector.


To help you transition into your role, you will be paired with a buddy from our apprentice cohort, who can offer valuable insights based on their own experiences. Additionally, you will receive guidance from a dedicated mentor throughout your apprenticeship journey, ensuring your professional growth and success.


As part of your apprenticeship, you will enroll in the Business Administration Level 3 qualification through one of our training partners. You will receive comprehensive support through various methods, including remote learning sessions, educational materials, and personalized assistance from your tutor or coach, who will meet with you and your line manager regularly to monitor your progress.
