The Role:

This role involves fielding and processing customer enquiries and generating quotations for a busy contract analytical laboratory working primarily for the pharmaceutical industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day supervision of the Quotations Team.
  • Maintaining client information on the CRM system.
  • Identifying quotation process improvements and assisting with the planning, testing and implementation of improvements.
  • Supporting and working with the Business Development Manager in the development and implementation of Business Development initiatives.
  • Carrying out client surveys, analysing the results and the production of reports to support Business Development activities.
  • Assisting in the production of business bulletins and other marketing literature.

Requirements:

  • Experience and/or understanding of analytical chemistry techniques, particularly as they relate to the pharmaceutical industry, pharmacopoeia testing methods and regulatory industry.
  • BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, CRM and LIMS software.
  • Quotation administration within the pharmaceutical or contract testing industry.

  • Confident and friendly telephone manner, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Comfortable with scientific complexity.
  • Able to identify areas for improvement within the working remit and participate in solution implementation.
