Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive full-time Lead Booking Coordinator to join our Clinical Administration booking team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the patient experience and ensuring a seamless journey through our healthcare services.

Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with patients via phone, managing appointment scheduling, and overseeing admissions to minimize wait times. You will also be responsible for accurately entering data into various IT systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, patience, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You should be comfortable liaising with colleagues across different departments and handling a high volume of patient interactions daily.

We are looking for someone with a solid teamwork ethic, accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure. This role is open to professionals who can bring valuable attributes to our team. We are committed to providing the necessary support for your professional growth within this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered administrative support and customer service.

- Collaborate within a centralized booking team to coordinate inpatient admissions and outpatient appointments.

- Manage specific service delivery tasks, taking initiative to resolve issues and escalate concerns to the Team Leader when necessary. This may also involve supervising other team members on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • ECDL or equivalent IT proficiency
  • GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Administration or Customer Care or relevant experience

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Previous supervisory or team support experience
  • Proven ability to input accurate data into electronic systems
  • Familiarity with relevant software applications
  • Experience in general administrative procedures within an office setting
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information effectively
  • Strong attention to detail in both written and electronic communications
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing workload based on departmental needs
