Role Overview:

As a Band 6 nurse in the Children’s Emergency department, you will be integral to the emergency care team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care and overseeing the unit, providing leadership and guidance.
  • Evaluating, planning, and implementing care programs with minimal direct supervision.
  • Managing the unit on a daily basis, particularly in the absence of senior nursing staff.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • Registered Sick Children's Nurse (RSCN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-registration experience in any paediatric acute care setting; prior experience in emergency care is not a prerequisite.
