London, United Kingdom London City Mission Full time
Position Overview

Are you passionate about sharing the message of hope and compassion within diverse urban settings? Do you possess the skills to collaborate with local churches to engage in mission work across cultural boundaries?

London City Mission is seeking a dedicated full-time Community Support Facilitator to contribute to our initiatives at:

Webber Street Day Centre

Located in a vibrant area, the Community Support Facilitator will join a committed team to assist with essential tasks, provide support to guests, and promote the message of hope to those in need.

Homeless Prevention Initiative

This project focuses on supporting individuals who have recently secured Leave to Remain and are facing immediate homelessness risks. We offer a nurturing environment in collaboration with local churches, guiding residents towards independent living over a six-month period.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to empower our guests at both the Webber Street Day Centre and the Homeless Prevention Initiative. You will work closely with individuals to help them identify their personal goals and provide comprehensive support tailored to their needs.

As a Community Support Facilitator, you will have the chance to demonstrate compassion in action, assisting marginalized and vulnerable individuals in a meaningful way.

It is estimated that a significant portion of London’s population may never encounter the message of hope found in the gospel. Many of these individuals come from diverse backgrounds and faith communities.

We firmly believe that LONDON NEEDS HOPE.

Our teams are dedicated to envisioning and collaborating with local churches to reach those who are often overlooked in some of the most challenging areas.

The ideal candidate will be a devoted follower of Christ, bringing their enthusiasm and expertise to support our mission. Responsibilities may include:

  • Researching the mission needs of specific areas
  • Facilitating networking opportunities with local churches
  • Training and equipping church volunteers in practical outreach
  • Assisting churches in developing their mission initiatives

Please note that there is an occupational requirement for this role, and the successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check.

This is a full-time permanent position.

Salary: £27,352.00 per annum (5 days a week).
