Aeropeople Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Flight Systems Engineer to join our esteemed team within the global defence, security, and aerospace sector.

This position offers a flexible working arrangement, allowing for a blend of on-site and remote work, along with adaptable working hours.

Occasional travel to various UK locations will be required, with all travel and accommodation expenses covered.

As a member of the Flight Systems Engineering team, you will engage in a vibrant and innovative environment, contributing to cutting-edge aviation technology.

In your role as a Senior Flight Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial part in the design, development, and maintenance of essential aircraft systems, such as:

  • Landing gear
  • Fuel systems
  • Electrical power generation
  • Crew escape mechanisms
  • Environmental control systems
  • Flight control systems
  • Propulsion integration

You will be involved in the complete engineering lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements gathering to design, development, and ongoing support, ensuring compliance with the highest airworthiness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and review Flight Systems engineering documentation to fulfill project specifications while adhering to established standards and procedures, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule compliance.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and project teams to devise effective engineering solutions.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee engineering tasks based on the lifecycle phase, which may include requirements development, system and equipment design, modeling and analysis, system integration, qualification and certification, and testing.
  • Develop new systems by implementing best practices in systems lifecycle processes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow team members.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM field (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Maths, or Science).
  • Proven knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and the ability to apply sound systems engineering practices.
  • Extensive experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably within the aerospace sector.
  • Capability to effectively research system design data and apply it to complex challenges.

Applicants must be eligible for SC clearance, which requires holding a British passport and having resided and worked in the UK for the past five years.
