Role Overview:

As a Senior Flight Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the production and evaluation of Flight Systems engineering documentation to fulfill project specifications while adhering to established standards and protocols. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with various engineering and project teams to devise effective engineering solutions.
  • Planning, executing, and overseeing engineering tasks across different lifecycle phases, which may encompass requirements gathering, system and component design, modeling and analysis, system integration, and testing.
  • Generating and/or reviewing technical specifications, reports, and proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with task requirements.
  • Driving the development of innovative systems by implementing best practices in systems lifecycle management.
  • Engaging with clients to support delivered systems and address any challenges.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Required Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM discipline (e.g., Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Science).
  • Proven expertise in the systems engineering lifecycle with the ability to apply sound engineering principles in practice.
  • Significant experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fluid Systems Engineering, ideally within the aerospace sector.
  • Capability to leverage past experiences to offer guidance and leadership to peers.
  • Strong research skills to analyze system design data and apply it to complex engineering challenges.
