Commercial Manager - Indemnity

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our Indemnity Team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of our technical strategy, identifying opportunities to improve our claims process, and developing strategies to tackle market and competitor risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of our technical strategy, focusing on identifying indemnity breach customers through data analysis and modeling.
  • Contribute to forecasting and budgeting activities, including setting and managing trading performance for a core aspect of the customer journey.
  • Develop and implement strategies to tackle market and competitor risks, capitalizing on opportunities to improve our claims process.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and develop business cases for key changes across claims.
  • Support the optimization of commercial strategies, ensuring the commercial team anticipates challenges and develops countermeasures to negative contractual breach customer behaviors and trends.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all functions.

Requirements

  • Experience in handling motor claims, including strong knowledge of indemnity, Road Traffic Act, Article 75, MIB agreements, and insurer status.
  • Strong commercial acumen, comfortable with claims and contractual breach processes.
  • Ability to innovate and drive results, seeking out opportunities to evolve current practices.
