We are seeking a skilled Desktop Claims Investigator to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our claims handling team, you will be responsible for investigating, managing, and reporting on a varied range of surveyed claims.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and manage domestic property claims, ensuring all claims are handled fairly and with integrity.
- Liaise with customers to determine policy cover and legal liability, establishing the loss value and any associated costs.
- Handle and desktop settle a full and varied range of incidents, ensuring all claims are managed properly.
- Produce reporting that demonstrates the effectiveness of our claims handling process.
- Maintain high standards of communication with internal stakeholders and provide information on significant claims trends.
- Participate in the policy wording and claim handling enhancement working group and contribute to the claims auditing process.
- Experience of investigating and handling domestic property claims.
- Excellent knowledge of current case law, settlement methods, building regulations, market pricing, flood/escape of water/fire damage management best practice and principles.
- Claims scoping and management software experience.
