Investment Risk Sustainability Specialist

M&G plc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Investment Risk Team as a Senior Sustainability Investment Risk Manager. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the sustainability of our investment products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability risk management framework to ensure the long-term sustainability of our investment products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including fund managers, product development, and sales and distribution, to integrate sustainability considerations into our investment decisions.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on sustainability risk management to our investment teams, ensuring that our investment products and services are aligned with our clients' sustainability goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and industry associations, to stay up-to-date on the latest sustainability trends and regulations.
- Design and implement tools and processes to monitor and report on sustainability performance, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate sustainability risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with our performance teams to link sustainability risk analysis with fund performance, ensuring that our investment products and services meet our clients' expectations.
- Participate in cross-departmental initiatives to foster greater collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- 5+ years of experience in investment risk or a related field, preferably in an asset management house or financial services organization.
- Strong sustainability experience, including knowledge of sustainability regulations and industry trends.
- Experience working in an investment-facing market risk role or other quantitative finance role, or a position that has provided a high-level understanding of portfolio management.
- A good degree in a finance-related or quantitative subject, with a CFA qualification or sustainability certification desirable.
- Experience coding in R, Python, SQL, and/or PowerBI, with experience working with sustainability data and data providers highly desirable.
- Strong quantitative numeracy and experience dealing with large datasets.
