About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Monkseaton Medical Centre. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling.
  • Process patient payments and handle cash transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and medical information.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice.
  • Knowledge of SystmOne computer system or similar.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
