Domestic Violence Advocate

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of victims of domestic abuse. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate, you will work in a hybrid model, providing both face-to-face and virtual support to those in need.
You will be part of a multi-agency framework, working closely with local partners to ensure the safety and well-being of victims and their children. Your excellent communication skills, proactive approach, and ability to influence the service delivery will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritized according to risk.
- Work within a multi-agency framework to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
- Knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse.
- Good understanding of domestic abuse, including its impact on victims and their children.
- Understanding of risk assessment, safety planning, and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
- Understanding of safeguarding issues and legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
