Domestic Violence Specialist

Join our team at TDA Group as a Domestic Violence Advocate, where you will play a vital role in supporting survivors of domestic violence.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to manage high-risk domestic violence cases, providing practical and emotional support to survivors. As a Domestic Violence Advocate, you will work closely with external agencies, such as police, health services, and schools, to ensure coordinated support for survivors.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct risk assessments and create safety plans for high-risk domestic violence cases.
- Provide practical and emotional support to survivors, focusing on legal advice, housing needs, and tenancy support.
- Work with external agencies to ensure coordinated support for survivors.
- Lead and participate in Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) to protect survivors and their children.
- Maintain accurate case records, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection policies.
- Provide court support, including preparation for hearings and trials.
- Strong knowledge of domestic violence support, criminal justice processes, and legal remedies.
- Experience in case management and multi-agency collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to advocate for survivors.
- Understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to act appropriately.
- Experience using case management systems and completing thorough documentation.
- Commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, including LGBTQ+ and disabled individuals.
