Position Overview
We are seeking to appoint a full-time Advanced Musculoskeletal Care Practitioner to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong drive and self-motivation, with a commitment to enhancing and innovating all facets of care delivery within the Musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy service.
Candidates should be eager to engage fully in a progressive model of care and demonstrate a passion for providing exceptional care to patients.
Strong communication skills are essential, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team is crucial. A commitment to ongoing education is expected, and personal growth will be actively supported. Clinical supervision is robustly facilitated within this service.
Evidence of self-motivation will be evaluated during the selection process. Recent experience in a Community-based MSK/OPP service is advantageous but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively contribute as a member of a team delivering high-quality Musculoskeletal (MSK) care.
- Assist in operational management and strategic development initiatives.
- Further enhance personal specialist practice.

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust offers a comprehensive range of medical services to approximately 490,000 residents in southwest London and northeast Surrey. Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy/Osteopathy
- HPC registration or equivalent
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through a detailed personal portfolio showcasing postgraduate education/courses in MSK Physiotherapy
Desirable Qualifications
- Membership of the CSP/Osteopathy
- Progressing towards MACP membership
- Working towards a recognized relevant Master's Degree in MSK or evidence of operating at an equivalent level
Essential Experience
- Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience, including at least one postgraduate rotation in MSK outpatients and Orthopaedic inpatients
- Experience in managing MSK conditions
- Experience in operational management
Desirable Experience
- 1 year of experience working within the NHS in the UK
- Experience in performance management of Physiotherapists and students
Knowledge and Skills
Essential Skills
- Specialist skills in the assessment and management of complex MSK conditions
- Specialist skills in providing manual and exercise therapy
