Day Rate: £336 - £585 p/d PAYE + 36 days annual leave // £450 - £650 p/d - Umbrella

As a seasoned Construction Delivery Manager - Technical Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and technical integrity of one of the largest civil engineering projects in Europe.

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a landmark project shaping the future of UK energy, ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM).

You will be responsible for overseeing construction work packs six months prior to execution, collaborating with the Client and Principal Designer on construction safety matters, and managing the Principal Contractor's CDM compliance programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CDM Oversight: Ensure Principal Contractor compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Safety Collaboration: Liaise with the Client and Principal Designer on construction safety matters.
  • Programme Management: Manage the Principal Contractor's CDM compliance programme.
  • Technical Assurance: Conduct reviews and acceptance of contractor safety-related documents.
  • Training Delivery: Develop and deliver CDM-related training materials for site personnel.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert CDM guidance to the Principal Contractor.
  • Risk Profiling: Advise delivery teams on site-specific risks.
  • Contractor Mobilisation: Oversee Tier 1 contractor mobilisation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered Membership with CIOB, ICE, or IMechE.
  • Technical Membership of IOSH and a Member of the Association for Project Safety.
  • Strong understanding of design and engineering hazard reviews and risk assessments.
  • Experience applying the Principles of Prevention during both pre-construction and construction phases.
  • Knowledge of heavy civil engineering, bulk mechanical erection, and the application of CDM to NEC & FIDIC contracts.
  • Ability to work in a multinational, multi-disciplinary environment managing multiple work scopes simultaneously.
