Vulcain Engineering - UK is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Delivery Manager - Mechanical to join our team in the South West of England. As a key member of our Technical Communities, you will play a crucial role in supporting the UK Government's strategy of Net Zero by delivering exceptional outcomes for our customers.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting tactical logistics planning for individual works sections, collaborating with the HPC Delivery Team and Senior Construction Delivery Manager to ensure efficient delivery of the project. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting contract partners in delivering works packages to enable efficient delivery of their sections of works.
  • Recommending temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns, and taking appropriate action to avoid cessation of works.
  • Monitoring works on site and inputting into the construction daily report to ensure information is reported up through the organisation.
  • Proactively communicating and coordinating with other site teams to maintain good communication links and ensure activity is well and timely reported.
  • Attending PLOD/PLOW meetings with the contractor and ensuring outputs are recorded and issued.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery plans, and resource allocation.
  • A good understanding of the post holder's obligations under CDM Regulations.
  • Working knowledge in the delivery of projects.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
  • SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder.
