We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Delivery Manager - Mechanical to join our team at Vulcain Engineering - UK. As a key member of our Technical Communities, you will play a crucial role in supporting the UK Government's strategy of Net Zero by contributing to the mega-infrastructure project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting tactical logistics planning for individual works sections, collaborating with the HPC Delivery Team and Senior Construction Delivery Manager to ensure efficient delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support contract partners in delivering works packages to enable efficient delivery of their sections of works.
  • Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns.
  • Monitor works on site and input into the construction daily report to ensure information is reported up through the organisation.
  • Proactively communicate/co-ordinate with other site teams to maintain good communication links and ensure activity is well and timely reported.
  • Attend PLOD/PLOW meetings with the contractor and ensure outputs are recorded and issued.
  • Undertake safety and/or assurance inspections that support the project HSPI's.
  • Ensure clear, two-way communication with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager.
Requirements
  • Experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery plans, and resource allocation.
  • Working knowledge in the delivery of projects.
  • Ability to write informative, concise, and meaningful reports.
  • Motivate and energise contract partners by building a climate of trust and understanding.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
  • SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder.
  • Collaborate with other managers to effectively manage operations of the site.
