About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Construction Delivery Manager to join our team at Vulcain Engineering - UK. As a key member of our Technical Communities, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our mega-infrastructure projects, including the Nuclear New Build project at Hinkley Point C.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Contract Partners: Collaborate with contract partners to ensure efficient delivery of works packages, providing guidance and recommendations to mitigate against safety and quality concerns.
  • Logistics Planning: Assist in tactical logistics planning for individual works sections, ensuring seamless coordination with the HPC Delivery Team and Senior Construction Delivery Manager.
  • Site Monitoring: Conduct regular site visits to monitor works progress, inputting into the construction daily report to ensure accurate information is reported to senior management.
  • Communication and Coordination: Proactively communicate with site teams, including H&S, contract, project controls, and logistics, to maintain effective communication links and ensure timely reporting of activity.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct safety and assurance inspections to support project HSPI's, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting and Escalation: Prepare detailed reports to escalate any issues or concerns to senior management, ensuring clear communication and direction.
Requirements
  • Experience and Knowledge: Proven experience in construction sequencing, recovery plans, and resource allocation, with a good understanding of CDM Regulations.
  • Qualifications and Certifications: Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent vocational training and experience. SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and energize contract partners. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple stakeholders, and adopt a results-focused mindset.
