Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom Wakefield Council Full time

Broomfield SILC, a special school dedicated to supporting pupils aged 2 to 19 with diverse learning needs, seeks a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).

Our school provides a nurturing environment for students with a wide range of requirements, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex and multiple learning needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. We are committed to fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every student can thrive.

As a HLTA at Broomfield SILC, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of our students by:

  • Collaborating with teachers and Learning Support Assistants to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences tailored to individual needs.
  • Implementing effective strategies to support student progress and development, fostering a positive and encouraging classroom environment.
  • Communicating effectively with parents, carers, multi-disciplinary professionals, and external agencies to ensure holistic student support.
  • Contributing to the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all students.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working with Post 16 pupils on accreditations, such as ASDAN. The successful candidate will likely be involved in both Post 16 and Formal Teaching and Learning Groups.

If you possess a genuine passion for education and a dedication to supporting students with special educational needs, we encourage you to apply. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment where your contributions are valued.
