Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx. As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching professionals and support staff to provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Work closely with teaching professionals to develop and implement support plans
  • Report feedback to class teachers and contribute to student progress
  • Set and work towards targets aimed at individual pupil development
  • Plan and run 1:1 and small group sessions to support student needs

Requirements:

  • Graduate with strong academics, including a degree from a reputable university
  • Previous school-based experience, preferably in a SEN or SEMH setting
  • Sufficient understanding of SEN and SEMH needs, with previous experience preferred
  • Committed, driven, and compassionate individual with a drive to learn and assist
