Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales advisors to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and coach a team of sales advisors to respond quickly, efficiently, and appropriately.
  • Manage the flow of enquiries, setting, measuring, and achieving targets for response times, follow-ups, and conversion.
  • Input to monthly and annual sales targets, analyze performance data, and prepare accurate management information reports and forecasts for the General Manager and Directors.
  • Develop skills within the sales team continuously to ensure team members are working to the best of their ability to meet both revenue and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and integrate new members into the sales team.
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the sales team and develop plans for filling them.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of our product offering of tailor-made holidays and small group tours throughout the UK, Ireland, and Channel Islands.

Requirements:

  • Solid Sales Manager background within a sales-focused environment, ideally for a tour operator.
  • Good knowledge of the UK and Ireland, but not essential.
  • Experience of lead management, tour operating, or the wider travel industry will be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
