Position: Project Engineer – Governance

Location:

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation and enhancement of components within the engineering operational framework and governance system, including the development of policies and procedures for the design and development phases of the program.

Your role will involve acting as a key liaison for engineering governance between the joint business entity and the UK industry Lead Systems Integrator.

Collaboration with the COO Central Engineering Governance team will be essential to share best practices and provide support for ongoing activities.

Key qualifications include:

  • Relevant experience in Engineering Governance within Defence programs.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing engineering processes, tools, and methodologies that foster innovative solutions while adhering to governance standards.
  • Prior experience in managing a small team, including task management, performance evaluations, and talent development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering governance principles, ideally acquired from at least two distinct areas.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer specializing in Engineering Governance to join a significant program.

As part of the program integration team, you will support UK industry and international partners in the development and implementation of the Engineering Operating Framework and Governance System.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and collaborative, possessing strong communication skills to effectively influence and clarify Engineering Governance issues to both specialists and non-specialists.

This role offers a unique chance to engage with a pioneering program at its inception, representing BAE Systems and UK Industry on a global platform, thereby contributing to the sustainability of the Nation's Industrial Air Sector.
