Role Overview:

As an Engineering Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the establishment and enhancement of the engineering operational framework and compliance system. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and refining components of the engineering governance framework, including policies and procedures for the design and development phases of projects.
  • Establishing an internal assurance framework to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborating with the Airworthiness Team to facilitate design organization approvals and the assignment of technical roles.
  • Serving as a key liaison for engineering governance between the joint business entity and the UK industry Lead Systems Integrator.
  • Working closely with the Central Engineering Governance team to exchange best practices and support activities.
  • Overseeing a small team of engineers, ensuring effective task management and performance evaluations.

Required Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in Engineering Governance within Defence programs.
  • Experience in developing and implementing engineering processes, tools, and methodologies that meet governance requirements.
  • Previous experience in managing a small team, including task management and performance reviews.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with engineering governance principles, ideally gained from diverse areas.
  • Experience working with external customers, such as government entities.

Your role will involve supporting both UK industry and international partners in the development and implementation of the Engineering Operating Framework and Governance System. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and possess strong communication skills to effectively address Engineering Governance matters with both specialists and non-specialists.
