Mountjoy is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Plumber to join our team in Portsmouth. As a Carpenter/Plumber, you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of carpentry and plumbing repairs in occupied homes, buildings, and empty properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Fitting of various types of doors, first and second fixing, kitchen installations, repairing minor leaks, replacing sanitary wear, ceramic wall tiling, vinyl floor tiling, and non-licenced asbestos removal.
- Undertaking responsive and routine repairs and void repairs to Portsmouth City Council's Housing and Corporate Assets stock.
- Supporting other maintenance contracts as required when demand requires.
- NVQ level 2-3 in carpentry/plumbing or equivalent.
- Trade-based experience may be considered.
- 2 – 5 years' experience of working in Social Housing or Building Maintenance environment.
- A full, clean current driving licence is needed so you can drive one of our vans.
- 31 days annual leave rising to 36 days with length of service (including bank holidays).
