Job Title: Carpenter/Plumber

Mountjoy is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Plumber to join our team in Portsmouth. As a Carpenter/Plumber, you will be responsible for undertaking responsive and routine repairs and void repairs to Portsmouth City Council's Housing and Corporate Assets stock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake a wide variety of carpentry and plumbing repairs in occupied homes, buildings, and empty properties.
  • Fitting of various types of doors, first and second fixing, kitchen installations, repairing minor leaks, replacing sanitary wear, ceramic wall tiling, vinyl floor tiling, and non-licensed asbestos removal.
  • Work in all of PCC's property portfolio, including Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage, and Museums.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 2-3 in carpentry/plumbing or equivalent.
  • Trade-based experience may be considered.
  • 2-5 years' experience of working in Social Housing or Building Maintenance environment.
  • A full, clean current driving license is required.
