Carpenter Role Overview

Mountjoy is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Portsmouth. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for undertaking responsive and routine repairs and void repairs to Portsmouth City Council's Housing and Corporate Assets stock.

You will work in various property types, including Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage, and Museums. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality workmanship, ensuring health and safety, and adhering to company processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake carpentry repairs in occupied homes, buildings, and empty properties, including fitting doors, first and second fixing, kitchen installations, ceramic wall tiling, vinyl floor tiling, and non-licensed asbestos removal.
  • Work in a variety of settings, including Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage, and Museums.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship, ensuring health and safety, and adhering to company processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2-3 in carpentry or equivalent.
  • Experience in Social Housing or Building Maintenance environment preferred.
  • A full, clean current driving license is required for driving company vans.
