As an Administrative Coordinator within the Gastroenterology Division, you will be essential in assisting healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding patient services. The ideal candidate will interact with patients, medical staff, and various team members, ensuring exceptional service and meticulous attention to detail. You will frequently collaborate with the administrative leadership and departmental management. It is crucial to exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills along with a proactive mindset.

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis for up to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

Proficiency in IT is required as you will utilize several software applications. We seek individuals who are compassionate, efficient, diligent, and resilient.

This role promises to be both engaging and demanding as you work alongside colleagues to support a team of Consultants, junior medical staff, and specialized nurses.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated educational background, achieving GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Training in office software applications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 4 in administration or equivalent
  • ECDL certification
Experience
  • Recent secretarial experience in a busy office setting
  • Record maintenance
  • Experience within the NHS
  • Prior experience in a medical secretarial role
Skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with various IT systems
  • High-level literacy skills
  • Proactive, self-driven, and a positive work attitude
  • Strong organizational abilities

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, necessitating a Disclosure submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service for any previous criminal convictions.

Salary range: £22,816 to £24,336 per annum, pro rata.
