Job Description

Location: Bath – 2 days per week in office

Security Clearance: SC Clearance required.

Your Role:

As a Project Management Officer at Capgemini Engineering, you will primarily work on delivering projects that will lead to the convergence of physical and digital worlds through technology, engineering, and manufacturing expertise to boost our clients' competitiveness.

  • Client liaison and relationship management
  • Bid management and proposal development
  • Project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Tracking and reporting, including project finances and revenue recognition
  • Profitability and productivity analysis
  • Forecasting and project finances management
  • Risk management and mitigation
  • Quality control and assurance
  • Continuous process improvement and problem resolution
  • Resource allocation and client satisfaction

Your Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering engineering development projects in a leading/management role, from pre-sales, bidding, requirements definition through to delivery, optimisation, verification, validation, and closure
  • Experience in Air, Land, or Maritime, including the integration and assurance process
  • 5 years' experience in project and programme management more widely
  • Leadership of complex, multi-functional teams
  • Able to gain SC Clearance
  • Proficient with Project Finances, Revenue Recognition, Margin Improvement, Risk Management, and Month-end Reporting
  • Proven ability to plan and organise projects effectively, with excellent attention to detail
  • A developed understanding of business and finance, project planning and scheduling, budgeting and cost management, revenue recognition, and contract management
  • Proven ability to review and challenge schedule critical path activities within Microsoft Project

Preferable:

  • Experience of delivering projects in the Defence Sector
  • Knowledge of MOD procurement process
  • Knowledge of delivery of complex software development projects

Your Security Clearance:

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
