Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom NFU Mutual Full time £25,748
Insurance Customer Service Specialist

Salary: £24,139 + potential bonus of up to £6,000 (paid monthly) + comprehensive benefits package.

We are expanding our team and have multiple full-time positions available.

Join us on a rewarding career path with extensive training programs designed to ensure your success.

After 4-6 months, enjoy the flexibility of up to 80% remote work options, with a combination of home and office work during your initial training and onboarding.

Working Hours:

This position features a rotational shift schedule from 08:00 to 20:00, Monday to Friday, and 09:00 to 12:30 on Saturdays (approximately 4 Saturdays every 8 weeks). Initially, you will work 37 hours per week, with the possibility to extend to 40 hours upon successful completion of your probation, increasing your annual salary to £25,748 and your bonus potential to £6,400.

Full-time availability is required during the training period, and candidates with planned leave within 6 weeks of the start date may not be eligible for this cohort.

As part of our ongoing transformation, we are seeking Customer Service Specialists for our Mutual Direct Department.

In this role, you will either assist new customers with sales inquiries or support existing customers with renewals and policy adjustments, playing a vital role in providing exceptional service across various insurance sectors, including Motor, Property, and Pet & Equine.

We prioritize authentic interactions, ensuring that each customer feels valued and understood by asking insightful questions to deliver optimal solutions.

You will handle approximately 20 calls daily, balancing efficiency with personalized service.

This position emphasizes quality interactions that naturally lead to sales—no cold calling, just meaningful engagements.

While both teams have achievable targets, our focus remains on quality over quantity.

To support your development, we provide a thorough 4-6 week training program and allocate 10% of your weekly hours for professional growth.

Our office is conveniently located, with excellent amenities nearby, including shopping, dining, and fitness options.

This role adheres to the Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, necessitating ongoing Continuous Professional Development and regular re-screening to maintain a status of "Good Repute".

We seek candidates with recent experience in delivering outstanding customer service, whether in a contact center, retail, or hospitality settings.

No prior insurance experience is necessary; we will equip you with all the training and support required.

Effective communication skills are essential, as building rapport with customers is crucial in this role.

At NFU Mutual, we champion an inclusive workplace and appreciate the diverse qualities that make each individual unique.

We encourage candidates to discuss any necessary adjustments or accommodations to help them perform at their best throughout the recruitment process.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and a signatory of the Race at Work and Women in Finance Charters, welcoming applications from individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of age, ethnicity, disability, neurodiversity, gender, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status.

Annual bonus potential of up to £6,000 upon completion of training (paid monthly)
