Insurance Client Support Specialist

We are expanding our team and have multiple full-time roles available.

Begin your professional journey with extensive training programs designed to equip you for success.

Flexible Working: After 4-6 months, enjoy the option of up to 80% remote work, allowing for a mix of home and office engagement during your initial training.

Working Hours: This role features a rotational shift schedule between 08:00 and 20:00 from Monday to Friday, and 09:00 to 12:30 on Saturdays (you will likely work approximately 4 Saturdays every 8 weeks), totaling 37.5 hours weekly.

Upon successful completion of your probationary period, you may have the opportunity to extend your contract to 40 hours, increasing your annual salary to £25,748 and your bonus potential to £6,400.

About the Role:

In light of an exciting transformation initiative, we are currently seeking Client Support Specialists for our Mutual Direct Department.

Whether you are part of our Sales team addressing new customer inquiries or our Service team managing existing customer renewals and policy modifications, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support for our clients across various insurance sectors, including Motor, Property, and Pet & Equine.

At NFU Mutual, we appreciate your individuality and personal approach. Forget about rigid scripts; we prioritize authentic conversations, ensuring each client feels valued and understood by asking insightful questions to provide optimal solutions.

You will handle approximately 20 calls daily, achieving a balance between efficiency and personalized service.

In Sales, our methodology is not about aggressive selling; it focuses on quality interactions that naturally lead to sales—no cold calling, just meaningful connections.

Both teams have achievable targets that emphasize quality over quantity.

Office Location: Our office is conveniently situated within a short walk from the main train station, with excellent amenities nearby, including shopping, cafes, bars, restaurants, and fitness centers.

This position is subject to Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, necessitating role holders to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development and undergo regular re-screening to confirm they maintain a status of "Good Repute".

About You:

You will possess recent experience in delivering outstanding customer service, whether in a contact center, retail, or hospitality environment.

You are a motivated learner with a strong desire to enhance your skills, approaching challenges with enthusiasm and a growth mindset.

No prior insurance experience? No worries—we will provide all the necessary training and support.

Effective communication is essential in this role, so it is crucial that you have a natural ability to build rapport with clients.
