About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Female Social Personal Assistant to join our team at Disability North. The successful candidate will provide personal care and support to Lisa Marie, a 50-year-old woman with complex health issues, including epilepsy and developmental delay.

The role involves assisting Lisa with daily care routines, including bathing, feeding, and medication management. You will also be required to support Lisa's brother, Wayne, with her care and provide assistance with hoists and wheelchairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to Lisa Marie, including bathing, feeding, and medication management
  • Assist Lisa's brother, Wayne, with her care and provide support with hoists and wheelchairs
  • Develop a good understanding of Lisa's needs and preferences, including her love of music and sensory toys
  • Work collaboratively with the Disability North team to ensure Lisa receives the best possible care and support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with individuals with complex health issues, including epilepsy and developmental delay
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of Lisa and her family
