Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Social Care Assistant to join our team at Disability North. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to a young girl with autism, enabling her to engage in her chosen activities and live a fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the child with daily living tasks, such as personal care and toilet training
  • Assist with communication and social interaction, using a combination of PECS and individual words
  • Encourage the child to participate in activities she enjoys, such as painting, music, and swimming
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment, with a high level of supervision

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism and challenging behavior
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the child and her family
  • Knowledge of the Kurdish Alevi religion and culture would be advantageous

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including term time and school holidays. A full driving license and access to a vehicle would be beneficial.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £13.50 per hour, with opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
