Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Validation and Verification Expert to join our team at Dabster Group. As a key member of our Control & Protection Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our HVDC Control & Protection Systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and Implement Testing Strategies

Establish a process to assess, review, and record the testing needs and boundaries of each project to ensure that the control system is verified to the maximum extent possible before leaving the factory.

Lead the Generation of Testing Plans and Procedures

Lead the generation of plans, procedures, and specifications for the Development of Integration System Tests, Full System Tests, Factory Acceptance Tests, and Commissioning Tests at site.

Coordinate Testing and Validation Process

Ensure the coordination of testing and validation process steps from Lab Testing, Factory System Testing, and Site System Testing leading to Customer acceptance of HVDC Control & Protection System.

Drive Continuous Improvement

Drive the Continuous Improvement process in collaboration with other Control & Protection Engineering teams.

Ensure De-Risking

Ensure sufficient de-risking is included in Product plans to avoid quality problems due to the introduction of new technologies on Projects.

Enforce Engineering Discipline

Enforce engineering discipline and set processes across all work tasks and adherence to company policies, quality procedures, and work instructions (e.g., through training, technical reviews).

Review and Improve Skills

Review the validation and verification department's skills, identifying any shortfalls or skills gaps to ensure necessary training, guidance, and mentoring of Engineers is in place.

Approve Technical Reviews and Quality Gates

Serve as approver for technical reviews and quality gates / project milestones.

Support Customer Communications

Support Customer communications to define quality and testing expectations from project kick-off till final sign off.

Represent the Company

Represent the company in various Industry working groups as a key content contributor.
