Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our team at JobLookUp, a leading company in the roads & highways sector. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of our operations, ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a large team of professionals in highway contracting, road construction, and surfacing.
  • Develop and implement operational and commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Negotiate client and sub-contractor agreements, ensuring strong relationships and mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Manage the company's financial performance, including profit and loss accountability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in highway contracting, road construction, or surfacing, particularly in highway maintenance and road improvement contracts.
  • Strong contractual (NEC forms of contract) operational and commercial expertise.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a large team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, with a focus on driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of £90,000 - £105,000.
