About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activities Coordinator to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that caters to the diverse needs and interests of our patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify patients who would benefit from our activities and services.
  • Lead and facilitate group and individual activities, including creative, social, and physical programs.
  • Assess and address the creative and recreational needs of patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to promote the benefits of our activities and services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives, ensuring that our activities and services are aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.
  • Participate in daily board rounds to promote the role of the Activities Coordinator and identify opportunities to engage patients in activities.
Requirements
  • GCSE qualifications or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates trust values and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Able to work autonomously and demonstrate good organizational skills.
  • Experience working with frail and dementia patients.
  • Previous healthcare experience, preferably in a similar role.
Desirable Criteria
  • Level 2-3 Healthcare certificate.
