This role is pivotal in overseeing all financial reporting aspects for EMEA entities and branches, while also managing daily accounting functions to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of finance professionals, cultivating a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing among teams.
  • Manage financial accounting for European subsidiaries, ensuring adherence to consistent accounting practices and compliance with local regulations. Oversee intercompany transactions and regulatory reporting, including financial accounts and VAT.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and integrity of financial information, meeting both internal and external reporting deadlines. Collaborate with the Global Tax function for corporate tax reporting.
  • Establish and uphold robust internal control policies, continuously monitoring and enhancing internal control systems to mitigate fraud risks and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Oversee payroll operations across Europe, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing in line with local laws. Manage tax withholdings and related filings.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at automating and optimizing accounting operations, enhancing the efficiency of monthly and quarterly close cycles, and improving accuracy through streamlined processes.

Qualifications Required

  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CA (or equivalent).
  • Experience in managing European accounting operations, including month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and filings.
  • A proven history of successfully leading finance teams, implementing internal controls, and driving process enhancements.
  • Demonstrated success in managing change effectively.
  • Extensive experience in finance and accounting leadership roles.
