Job Overview

TPF Recruitment is representing a prestigious independent firm of chartered accountants seeking a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and be capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reports.
  • Complete VAT returns and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Handle bookkeeping duties, including processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Support the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Provide assistance during audits and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and client files.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address their queries and provide exceptional service.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as required by the firm.
Requirements
  • AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ACA (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Proven experience in an accounting role within a practice environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
