Job Summary: GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individualized support to a primary school student in Ashington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a primary school student, adapting educational materials to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Assist the student in their academic tasks, ensuring they are engaged and making progress in their educational journey.
  • Promote positive behavior and social interaction, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to implement and monitor the student's learning plan, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to education.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of child development and learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other staff.
  • Ability to adapt learning materials and approaches to suit individual student needs, ensuring a tailored and effective educational experience.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
