We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented School Office Coordinator to join our team at Eton College. As a key member of our administrative team, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the School Office.
Key Responsibilities- Meet and greet visitors in a welcoming manner, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate person.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, post, and telephone enquiries.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, take and deliver messages, and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Assist with event management, large-scale mailings, and other administrative tasks as required.
- Use the franking machine to frank post daily and ensure it is sufficiently topped up.
- Undertake training in the use of copying machines and other office equipment.
- Create, edit, and update spreadsheets to maintain accurate records.
- Keep an accurate inventory of School Events stock and maintain all office systems, including data management and filing.
- Support the team with other tasks as necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
- Assist with ad hoc general office requirements, including management of mobile phones for school trips and other tasks as required.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by the School Clerk.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience of data management and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with a wide variety of people.
- Professional telephone manner and friendly, courteous, and empathetic approach.
- Integrity, honesty, and reliability, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
