About the Role

Willis Towers Watson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Office of General Counsel (Legal - Employment Team). As a key member of our team, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our business leaders and HR teams on all aspects of employment law, both in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and Analyze Employment Law Developments: Stay up-to-date with key legal developments in the UK and relevant international jurisdictions, and provide timely advice and guidance to our business leaders and HR teams.
  • Develop and Manage Employment Law Templates and Policies: Assist in the development, management, and negotiation of key employment law-related templates, policies, and agreements.
  • Provide Expert Employment Law Advice: Provide expert advice and counsel to our business leaders and HR teams on all aspects of employment law, including restrictive covenants, employee relations, onboarding, termination, compliance, employment-related contracts, and compensation and benefits.
  • Minimize Legal Risk: Assess and minimize legal risk to the company in all employment law-related issues.
  • Manage Employment Claims: Manage and resolve contentious employment claims against the company.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training to our HR and business teams on employment law issues and developments.
Requirements
  • Strong Employment Law Expertise: You will be a solicitor with solid experience in employment law, with a strong understanding of UK and international employment law.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving: You will have the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions to complex employment law issues.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: You will be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Discretion and Confidentiality: You will have the ability to handle confidential information and opinions with discretion.
